This past weekend I hosted a “Party Like a Rockstar” shindig for one very special little kindergartner! My lovely client (and a former event planner might I add 😉) chose to book our Popstar/Rockstar theme for her daughter with the “Kate Spade” color option, and I think it turned out just beautiful!
So let’s get right into the details!
These stars were literally the “stars” of the show! I purchased them from Michaels during the after Christmas clearance sale about a week ago. They were originally $9.99 each, but I got them for $3.99…or was it $2.99? Now sure anymore…but either way they were a steal and made such a huge impact! I spraypainted them with a light coat of gold spraypaint to soften the rustic look of the unfinished wood and displayed them on these tabletop art easels I use for my painting parties. This way the girls could decorate and customize their very own “Walk of Fame Star.”
The striped runner is from Hobby Lobby, as well as the mini gold gable boxes and the silver star plates were purchased from the 99 cent store! The confetti on the table was a mixture of pre-cut paper circles from the Target Dollar Spot section and silver stars cut from a star garland I ordered on Amazon. They are the same stars that you see glued to the pink ribbon and draped across the backdrop!
I kept the centerpiece simple. This groovy little disco ball was placed on a round cake stand that I covered with a pink tutu and a black feather boa to contrast. I found my disco ball at the 99 cent store for $3.99 and stocked up on a few. If you don’t have a store near you, they can be found on Amazon for a little bit more than what I paid.
Introducing our Swag Bar station, well actually it’s really the “Popstar Accessory Bar” where we display dress up props for the girls to use during their “final performance”…btw I just loved this little sign our client put up by her food table!

Last, but not least the food and beverages! These snack packs were just adorable, each included a mini gold trophy and these gorgeous little faux glass bottles from Shop Sweet LuLu!
This lovely “Kate Spade” cake was a sweet way to close out the party. Simple and festive, topped with a gold star sparkler and beautiful Cricut cut musical notes. Just delicious!
